Why Should I Attend the 50th Reunion

Dust off those yearbooks and unleash the nostalgia because attending a 50th reunion is like stepping into a time machine fueled by laughter and shared memories. It's a chance to prove to your younger self that the perm was a phase, and the fashion choices were, well, questionable. Picture this: trading embarrassing stories, attempting to recreate those iconic group photos (with a few extra wrinkles), and dancing to the tunes that once ruled the jukebox. It's not just a reunion; it's a hilarious escapade into the past where bad haircuts and funky dance moves become the stars of the show. So, why attend? Because it's an opportunity to bask in the glory of how far you've come, with a side dish of laughter and a sprinkle of "remember when." After all, who can resist a night of reliving the glory days and proving that age is just a number, especially when the soundtrack is your favorite hits from way back when?

Friday Night Meet and Greet

August 16 - 6:00 - 11:00

There will be a meet and greet at the Sheraton bar area on Friday night.

Buffet Dinner

Buffet Dinner

A full course buffet dinner will be served.

Drinks Anyone?

A cash bar will be located inside the Mackinaw Ballroom for your convenience

Casual Attire

We don't care what you wear but wear something. If you're brave enough, pull out your bell bottoms, hip huggers, halter tops, or leisure suits and be the life of the party.

Music and Dancing

Soft music will play in the background but as the night rolls on it may be time to rock. So let your hair down and LET'S DANCE!!!

Tells Us Why You're Attending

Below are some thoughts of attendees about the 50th reunion. We'll rotate them as we get new ones so keep coming back to see who's coming. Share your thoughts with us at nfhs74.reunion@gmail.com. Make sure you include your name and a pic (or we can use your class photo).

"I’m always nervous about attending things like this. Memories come back about good times and bad times. What I have found out by attending reunions is, the good times were great and the bad times faded and the only person that remembered them was me. I always had a good time seeing old friends but enjoyed getting to know my classmates that I didn’t know so well in school. Many I call friend now."

Dan Brown

"I'm looking forward to the reunion to reconnect with my HS buddies (& ladies) that I have lost touch with over these so many years. I seem to remember we had a good time. I miss my buddy Bob Pysz"

Jim Spangenberg

Jim must be excited to come to the reunion because he made his room reservation on the first day. He said "Got 'er done. Easy-Peazy"

Mike Priestap

"I’ve waited 50 years to get invited to this reunion and I’ll be there, come hell or high water. It will be a half century since we graduated - everyone has stories to tell (and some of them will actually be true lol.) I can’t wait to see y’all".

"I want to see lots of pictures, kids, grandkids, dogs, cats, bring them!"

"My high school years at NFHS were not my finest, however I treasure the friendships that formed out of those growing up years, both current and former friendships. I've enjoyed attending each of our 1974 Class Reunions, catching up with close friends and reconnecting with friends from the past and with classmates. I'm looking forward to reuniting with each of you at our upcoming 50th. Warm regards, Gordie Lewis"

When I was about 20, I crossed paths in the parking garage of an airport with some seriously old people with a ton of luggage struggling to get to the counter at the airport so they could check it. I found one of those abandonded wheely carts, loading all thier bags and asked where they were going. In thier crackly old people voices, they told me they were going to their 50 YEAR class reunion. I gasped. Holy shit, they are so OLD. And here we are. I would love to see all of you because "we only get so many trips around the sun". (Salute to Kenny Chesney). See you there!
